The
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS OF UGANDA (NASWU)
brings together all Social Workers in Uganda into a
vibrant professional body that contributes to better
professional practice, better conditions of work for
Social Workers and equitable national development and
transformation.
NASWU exists to help members of the Social Work Profession
make their full contribution to society and in the process,
live respectable lives as individuals and members of
the profession, guided by professional values and ethical
principles.
The NASWU Constitution provides for the formation of
branches in different parts of the country and leadership
in form of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and
the Branch Executive Committees (BECs). The two organs
work in unison and develop annual programmes of action
towards realization of individual, group and professional
goals and national expectations.
NASWU is a registered non-profit organization and is
in the process of establishing its head office in Kampala,
the capital of Uganda.
